What comes to my mind when I hear the word Data Engineer?

When I hear the word Data Engineer, what comes to mind is something like being an investigator. Just as an investigator meticulously gathers evidence, pieces together clues, and digs deep into every detail to solve a case, a data engineer does the same with data. We’re not solving crimes, but we’re solving the mysteries of information. Whether it’s finding hidden patterns, cleaning up messy datasets, or connecting various data points to create a complete picture, the goal is the same: uncovering insights that drive decisions.

Data engineers are the unseen force behind nearly every modern business. With industries like Banking, Insurance, Social Media, E-commerce, and Healthcare relying heavily on data, there’s almost no field that doesn’t need a data engineer. Why is that? The internet. From bank transactions to social media activity, and from online shopping habits to healthcare records, all of this data needs to be organised, analysed, and presented in meaningful ways. The explosion of information on the internet is why the demand for data engineers is growing daily.
